Challenge

SR-Bank needed to generate large, template-based agreements for both corporate and retail banking customers. Because the organization was using Microsoft Dynamics CRM, document creation and output management needed to happen from the Microsoft environment.

The corporate division was satisfied with the functionality of the bank's existing document solution, but the business support division responsible for ongoing development and technical support found it cumbersome and labor-intensive.

Even routine requests to change an existing template or document flow could place additional work on the technical support team, leading SR-Bank to replace the system.

High IT Dependence

Changes to templates and document flows placed pressure on the business support team.

Labor-Intensive Maintenance

Continuous document development and support required too much technical effort.

Large Agreement Documents

Corporate and retail banking teams needed to generate complex, template-based customer agreements.

Regulated Environment

Documents needed to remain consistent with financial-industry requirements and the bank's internal standards.

The problem was not document capability alone. It was who had to maintain it.
Business Requests a Change

An internal user needed a template or document-flow modification.

Technical Team Gets Involved

Business support handled the ongoing development and technical work.

Maintenance Becomes Labor-Intensive

Routine document evolution added unnecessary technical overhead.

Business Agility Suffers

The bank wanted business users to have greater ownership of document processes.

Working with technical CRM advisors from Microsoft and Avanade, SR-Bank evaluated replacement options and selected Experlogix Document Automation to empower business users while reducing IT dependence.

Solution

Experlogix Document Automation gave SR-Bank an end-to-end environment for creating, managing, approving, delivering, and storing documents directly from Microsoft Dynamics.

Dynamic templates could use integrated data, personalization, and configurable business rules while being designed through the Microsoft Word-based Template Builder.

Dynamic Templates

Data-driven agreement templates combine business information, personalization, and configurable rules.

Business-Owned Logic

Process owners can manage logic-based customizations without routing every change through IT.

Dynamics-Based Generation

Personalized customer agreements can be generated directly from the Microsoft Dynamics environment.

Connected Completion

DocuSign supports e-signature while completed agreements are stored in the required SharePoint location.

One connected agreement lifecycle
1 Erstellen

Agreement templates combine Dynamics data with personalized content and business rules.

2 Generate and Approve

Customer-facing documents are generated through the Dynamics-based document workflow.

3 Sign

Customer e-signatures can be captured through the connected DocuSign integration.

4 Store

Final agreement documents are automatically stored in the required secure SharePoint location.

Business users gained control without removing IT governance

The key shift was moving logic-based document customization closer to SR-Bank's business process owners. That reduced pressure on the IT business support team while preserving an integrated, governed Dynamics environment.

This same model remains central to current Experlogix Document Automation for Financial Services, where business users can maintain document templates while technology teams retain governance over data security, standards, and integrations.

Result

SR-Bank's corporate, retail, and business support divisions benefited from a more integrated way to generate and manage agreements from Microsoft Dynamics.

Non-technical users gained access to consistent, data-driven agreement generation, while automated document flows helped the bank manage approval, delivery, e-signature, and storage as part of the same process.

Reduced IT Dependence

Business process owners can manage logic-based document customizations without relying on technical support for every change.

More Consistent Agreements

Business users can generate standardized, data-driven documents aligned with financial and internal requirements.

Streamlined Lifecycle

Creation, approval, delivery, signature, and storage are connected within the document process.

Faster Customer Completion

E-signature supports faster agreement delivery and completion without introducing a separate manual signing process.

Better Total Cost of Ownership

SR-Bank reported that the total cost of ownership quickly proved more beneficial than its previous document system.

Room to Expand

After launch, the organization identified additional opportunities to use Document Automation across the bank.

„Es ist ein einfaches, intuitives Tool zur Dokumentenerstellung, das bei jedem Kunden und bei jeder Gelegenheit zuverlässig funktioniert – auf Knopfdruck."

Silje Eriksen Bølla Leader of System Management

For current Microsoft environments, Experlogix Document Automation for Dynamics 365 continues to support data-driven document creation and workflows across generation, approval, delivery, and storage.
